SQL 2014/2016 new features
Do you have latch contention? Need to aggregate billions of rows? Reports are killing your server? Have more than one subnet and want to cluster across them?
This session will discuss new features and improvements in SQL Server 2014. We will also touch on coming features for SQL 2016!
Topics will include In-Memory features and performance improvements for both OLTP and OLAP workloads, database engine improvements, new ways to use SSD, and Always-On enhancements.

George Walters is a Senior Technical Solutions Professional, Data Platform, for Microsoft’s Tier 1 customers in the Northeast District. He focuses on Microsoft’s Data Platform and Azure. Prior to 2012, he was a Premier Field Engineer, performing proactive and reactive support for Microsoft customers. He has taught enterprise customers Cloud Architecture, SQL Server High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Performance Tuning, and Architecture.
